Message	I decided to attempt to fix my dash peel for the third time and wanted to warm that area of the dash, so in my infinite wisdom I decided to point a 500 watt halogen lamp at the dash with the cushioned base sitting on the hood. Went to Lowes to pick up some detail brushes to apply the high temp spray adhesive and came back 20 minutes later to find just how much heat a 500 watt Halogen bulb can generate via infrared. Crack! I have done this technique before to heat up something - I guess it was pointed a little too much down, or the glass was cold (60 degrees) and the lamp heated that area of the glass too quick. All original glass on the car too. All acid etched with VIN numbers. I guess I should be happy it didn't set the car on fire and when I come home my house is in flames.
